Typhoon Megi and Grocery Shopping

I went live on Facebook to share with my friends back home in the states my experience going outside during the typhoon in order to get groceries.  The above video clip is the trip on the way back, and a closer look at my Senz Umbrella (while broken) still in action.

We just went a block down to get to the local super market to buy some food to last the duration of this relatively slow moving but humongous typhoon.  (Basically ramen, vegetables, fruit, eggs, and bread.)

My brother’s cheap $100 umbrella made it through the entire trip fine, whereas my umbrella has broken ribs.  I submitted a warranty claim on the umbrella the same day, will see what Senz has to say.
