Amex 20% Cashback at Amazon and Bonus $100

I recently got the Blue Everyday Card from American Express.  Its been the best card I’ve got all year because of all the benefits, and the cashback honestly.  Some of these promos are expiring later this week (or so I found out), so I wanted to take some time to tell you about it.

Plus Amazon Prime day is coming in on October 13th, and that 20% cash back from Amazon is nice!

So far, it’s been about $350 back in statement credits, $69 calm annual subscription, annual shoprunner subscription, and that’s not even including regular cash back from everyday use.  The $50 on top of the $300 offer below is from their regularly run Shop Small Business promo.

$100 back after $1,000 in purchases on their new Blue Cash Everyday® Card in first 6 months of Card Membership. For a limited time,  also earn 20% back on purchases on made with the Blue Cash Everyday® Card in the first 6 months, up to $200 back

Ends 10/07/2020. The cash back will be in the form of statement credits. Choose from all available American Express Personal and Business Card offers.

My links on this page are referral links for you to get the bonus $100, and I get $50-$75 for referring my subscribers.

I went for the Blue Everyday Cashback Card

Its my cashback card of choice for supermarkets starting at 3%.

Way back in early 2000s, I was an Amex member.  I stopped because that business ended (I was using for business), and also American Express wasn’t accepted at most places.

Coming back with the Everyday Cash card, I’m pleasantly surprised that it’s accepted just about everywhere I’ve been since COVID-19.  Even at Asian restaurants around me that used to accept cash only.  Note, not all have started accepting cards, but those that have take American Express and I’ve purchased food multiple times, each time getting $5 cash back due to the small business promotion that went out last month.

Customer service with American Express is legendary (for the customer).  But I hope I never have to use it to redeem some of the benefits, such as the theft protection, and lost/stolen card info.

One more benefit is there’s always at least 100 offers available that either give a nice discount or free subscriptions/items altogether that you can redeem in their app or online.  A lot of the offers are Amex exclusive.
